Janice Liao
Dr. Janice Liao was raised in Stockton, CA, in the same neighborhood where our Stockton office is. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1994 and attended UCLA, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in physiological science in 1998. Dr. Liao went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, in 2002.
Dr. Liao then returned to California to complete a year-long General Practice Residency at University Medical Center in Fresno. She worked as an associate for Dr. Kenneth Yi in both Stockton and Tracy for six months in 2003 before establishing her home base in Dublin, CA. Dr. Liao enjoys working with patients of all ages and from all different dental backgrounds.
George Shiao
Dr. George Shiao was born in Taiwan and raised in Dallas, TX, so he is a big Cowboys fan! He attended Cistercian Preparatory School in Irving, Texas, before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Biology from Washington University in St. Louis in 1995. In 1999, Dr. Shiao earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University. Dr. Shiao also speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese.
Following graduation, Dr. Shiao worked in private practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey while also serving as a clinical instructor at Temple’s dental school. He spent the next several years performing comprehensive oral rehabilitation for special needs patients at Special Smiles in Philadelphia. Dr. Shiao moved to California and practiced in the Bay Area shortly before marrying Dr. Liao in 2004. Dr. Shiao is also a clinical faculty member at the UOP School of Dentistry. Ushma Patadia
Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Patadia earned her dental degree from the prestigious UConn School of Dental Medicine. Her commitment to excellence led her to complete a comprehensive general practice residency at Hartford Hospital, where she honed her skills in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Before embarking on her dental journey, Dr. Patadia pursued her undergraduate studies at New York University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in public health and biology. Her passion for public health has shaped her approach to dentistry, placing a strong emphasis on preventive care and patient education.
Beyond her dedication to dentistry, Dr. Patadia is an avid adventurer and is excited to embrace the beauty of the West Coast. A proud New Englander, she now looks forward to exploring the stunning landscapes and vibrant culture that the region has to offer. Dr. Patadia speaks Gujarati and Hindi.
When not caring for her patients, Dr. Patadia indulges in various hobbies that reflect her zest for life. You might find her lacing up her hiking boots to explore scenic trails, experimenting with diverse cuisines in the kitchen (and savoring the delicious results!), capturing moments through her lens as an enthusiastic photographer, or embarking on exciting travel adventures with her husband.

Christine Nguyen
Dr. Christine Nguyen was born and raised in the Bay Area. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from UC Berkeley and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Dr. Nguyen completed a general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Dental Clinic in Sacramento, and is committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements through ongoing education and training. Dr. Nguyen also speaks Vietnamese.
Dr. Nguyen brings a blend of professional expertise and compassionate care to every patient. She takes pride in providing personalized, high-quality dental care, ensuring that each patient receives tailored treatment with their unique needs and goals. Known for a gentle touch and a commitment to patient comfort, Dr. Nguyen works collaboratively with patients to develop comprehensive treatment plans that enhance both oral health and overall well-being.
When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her family and dog, hiking, playing various sports, and experimenting with new recipes. She regularly volunteers in community service events and has participated in overseas dental missions. Dr. Nguyen looks forward to meeting you and providing exceptional care that exceeds your expectations.
